Bennett Racing was the first to offer custom Ford crate engines. Though many companies have followed-Bennett Racing has strived year after year to make our engines the best available.
Unlike others, our crate engines are not “cookie cutter” built and shipped. Though the foundation of each crate engine we build is the same in respect to cid and horsepower level, each engine is different and rarely have we ever built two engines exactly the same. When you place your order we factor in many things that individualize your engine such as car weight, transmission type, power adder(s), driving style, fuel type, and preferred power band. We make changes in the camshaft design, compression ratio, and cylinder head porting and valve job to make alterations, mainly in the power band, to fit your exact application.
New for 2009 we have re-vamped our entire crate engine line offering more power, more selections, and simplified “delivered” pricing.
Please note our new Forced Induction option. If you plan on running a turbo or supercharger just add an “F” to any of our engines and we will make the changes in camshaft, compression ratio, and induction to compliment your boosted engine.
